The second suspect in the armed robbery of a mother and her two daughters was arrested.
The San Francisco Police Department said that a second suspect in an armed robbery that targeted a mother and her two young daughters has been arrested. The robbery happened on March 24.
There was a report of an armed robbery in the 2400 block of Lake Street. The officers met a female victim at the scene. She told police that she and her two daughters were approached by a man with a gun.
The suspect pointed a gun at her and took items from her. He got into a vehicle that was being driven by a second suspect and fled the scene. The victims were not injured as a result of the crime, police said.
Police said the victim’s phone was tracked to the area of Golden Gate Avenue and Jones Street. The suspects could be located by officers from the Northern Station. The suspects vehicle was located and officers stopped it.
The vehicle that attempted to flee came to an abrupt stop. The two suspects got out of the vehicle. The driver fled and evaded officers. The passenger, who is from San Francisco, was taken into custody. A loaded gun was recovered at the scene.
Robinson was booked into the SF County Jail on a number of charges after being positively identified as the suspect in the Lake Street robbery.
The second suspect in the robbery was identified as Milton Singletary, a 59-year-old San Francisco man. On April 14, while he was in jail for an unrelated incident, investigators served a search warrant and booked him.
Arrests have been made in the investigation, police said.
